Relativity

Newton said: "Action and reaction are equal and opposite" / "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction".

Being Idle has its own advantages. You can work in the devils workshop which always welcomes you with open arms. So, I thought why not do something meaningful like add a clause in accordance with the theory created by this great human being mentioned above with all due respect to his genius mind.

Any human would think before doing anything or atleast most of them would. So, if every action has a thought behind it then that "thought" can be thought of as the "action" because of which he has acted which is the "reaction" for all action results in a reaction, even though some are hardly physical.

I guess we have used Newton's theory to prove the major assumption that thought is equivalent to action before jumping into the actual framework of my "relativity". I believe, the fact that something that is not physical has the luxury of not being bounded by the rules scientific analysis. Like if "thought" is thought of as an action then it does not necessarily need a reaction as it can also be reflected upon!! Meaning: if you have a thought then you just have it and you may experience it but may not act upon it! Here is a story from a book that read long time ago (with due references)

The great Buddha was going on his usual alms round when one day a lady simply mentioned some facts that she saw in him. She told the great Buddha about the fact that he was hale and hearty, looked like a learned person which meant he could do something if some one instructed him to and that she thought he was the most unethical and lazy person ever seen. Now, the disciple of Buddha who was just beside him got really angry listening to her comments as how often does a person abuse the Great Buddha right in front of him?

So the lady said, why is it that they don't work somewhere like any other person instead of begging for alms and depend on others mercy for a living? That proved to be the last straw for the poor disciple who felt terrible angry at that women because she never realized whom she was speaking to and went to argue with her only to be stopped by Buddha himself. Then, the duo of course when on with their alms rounds as usual.

Later in the day, when they had finished with days work, the disciple could no more handle the confusion and decided to approach Buddha and ask him about his thoughts on the days highlights. Buddha soon realized the confusion in the disciples mind and asked him to get a cup of water for him which the disciple promptly did. Then he asked him whose water was it, for which the disciple said, your cup of water. Buddha asked him to keep it for a day with himself and then asked him the next day as to whose cup of water is it for which the disciples answer was the same. Then Buddha said that he does not want it and instructed his disciple to take it, which of course was accepted.

Now Buddha asked him, whose was the cup of water for which the disciple said it was his meaning the disciples! So Buddha went on to ask him about how the water had changed its master? For it was Buddha's the previous day and now it is not his anymore and belongs to someone his disciple! So the wise disciple understood the great mind of the Buddha and bowed his head in respect.

Coming to think of the story its not really strange as we do the same every day like make coffee in a pot and then divide it into three or four cups and then put an invisible label on it to mention whose it is just to make it easy. But, the tragic truth is we also divide our mind and bind it by such unwritten rules that something belongs to someone when it actually does not belong to anyone. Its persists in nature, it just "is" that's it. For the coffee belongs to everyone and if thrown, no one. Only after you "thought" of choosing a cup did you choose one and then it suddenly became yours. I mean, your mind got convinced that the cup of coffee is your whereas it is just a frame of thought and nothing more.

In the same way the Buddha told the disciple who was angry about the women that if you thought the insults were directed at you then it would be for you. And not just that, it would affect you and consume you . And if you thought it was not for you, then it as much the truth as the last sentence gave you. The bottom line is that "it persists" thats it not with you or someone else. Sometimes it can be an opinion or a thought sometimes it can be a physical action. Remember, thought comes and goes, but you never come, and you never go, unless you act upon it. Many a times you might not even act on it, like when you think of owning a Magic lamp that could give you anything that you want, you are not acting on it. Its just a thought it came and went but you were in the same place that you were before the thought.

So, if thought is so flexible or formless then why is it that we make it rigid? If one mentions something about us, then we react instantaneously to it. We forget that "thought" has this tremendous ability to reflect upon it and never react. True, you can reflect upon something and never react to it no matter how impulsive you get.

It just comes by the realization that you are a mirror. You can be a mirror to the thoughts of a person and reflect upon it rather than react toward it. You see the mirror does not have a mind of its own but has a lot to teach.

My opinion is that only if people had added a clause to the Great third law of relativity that action and reaction are not always equal opposite especially when dealing with something as tricky as the human mind which is represented by a "thought" (About which I shall deal with in the next blog) then I guess the world would be a much better place to be. So, my clause to the third law of relativity is "Every action can also be reflected upon probably in an even profound manner than the action itself upon which there can or cannot be a reaction". For all of you who were able to understand it, just let it be for its just a thought. Not yours nor is it mine, not here not there, neither is it physical nor temporal it just "IS".

Late .... again...!!??

"LATE"... is what I am. That's what I have always been in every perceivable or conceivable situation of my existence.

Well, it could work to your benefit some times like when I first walked in late to my swimming class on the very first day. I was in third "standard" (meaning a socially acceptable academic state of being), I realized that all of the other run of the mill, punctual students had picked their swimming tutors while I, being late, was staring at the serenity of the pool and had no doubt in my mind that each and every other kid there was doing the same. I mean who would think about "selecting" (which basically meant running as fast as possible toward a line of half naked people standing about 5 meters apart, who were supposed to be tutors of swimming for the next 15 days or so) when there is a pool of crystal clear water that was gleaming in the still tender (if you can call it that way) rays of the sun at like 6 am in the morning. Obviously I was mistaken for there I was, standing and staring at people who were staring back at me. Now, after so many years of existence, this "typical" situation has not changed. I found myself being isolated, cornered from the rest of the group in the first few minutes and thus creating a barrier among the so called normal people and the ignorant late comers. And all this for just being a person who appreciates artificial nature let alone a real one!! well I said that being late is not all that bad because the chief of all the trainers who was one of those "could be a huge potential for the country" kinda people came forward and asked the the question which I have so "got used to" by now.

It was pretty basic and a simple question but for a developed mind (read tormented, criticized, underestimated, isolated) it feels strange. He asked me whether I was interested? I mean I was not in a 3 piece suit. Hell I didn't even possess one to pretend that I had been to a kids birthday party or which ever place is suitable to for a kid to wear one as early as 6 am in the morning. I did not look at him but said gave a "whatever" kinda look in general. But he was kind enough to take me into his team and train me. Which I must say has been quite adequate to play around in the pool even though barely enough to survive in the natural rapids of a river on whose banks is my native place. That's where you meet the real competition, the water and you in its own playground.

So the point is that in such a "one of a 1000" kinda situation being late helps. But, all the other 999 times I have blissfully gotten my self into a socially dispensable state of being for being just being plain curious. But I always wonder how is it that I see the hand of an external sabotage while others don't. An entity that is most cunning of all such kind in the entire galaxy. Something which can never be heard even by dogs let alone me. something which you can never see, which you can never feel ... oh wait no I think you can feel it until one fine day just when you thought it could not get better, it sheds it cloak and tricks you "big time" by ramming straight in the A**h%Le and then you realize that it does very much exist in every sense you could imagine.

I think its trying to take revenge on the puppets (meaning..aam janta) created by the GODS for he/she/it/they (god) did not give that entity any form of existence so that puppets like me could recognize it. So, instead of going after its Creator it went after the creators puppets and has been fu!@#ng around with the lives of the people by intruding into their their personal, professional, social, academic, marital, extramarital, cultural, business, and lastly even spiritual lives and the best part is that you don't have a choice but to be cornered and get helplessly stuck in the devilish clutches of it and get f*#@$d around until you realize that you just have to be smart. The idea of being smart is not the one on the line of the smartness of an MBA or that of a chess player or the one that is the greatest of the them all.. street smartness shown by the home taught business clan of the Marwaris and the Sindhi's and the Gujarati's (I don't mean no offence.. its just that I greatly admire their business sensibilities). Its the power to achieve direct cognition, to recognize it without any kind of moral, scientific, physical, chemical, economical or any measurable basis of thought. The cognition to feel it with your experience (read worn out a@#h%le) without giving it a thought even for a nano second for no rational thought process can define it, hear it , smell it, see it, feel it, escape from it (which would be a number one in my wish list) let alone understand it.

But hey.. you dare not ignore it for you shall repent it for your entire lifetime. Oops there you go ... I have broken the jinx, solved the puzzle for you .... no no its not god ... (I am on his side even though I have all the questions that I have mentioned above) the word is "TIME" that's it .... the most cruel, astonishing, real, hardcore, supernatural and fantastic entity that one should always try not to mess around with. The havoc created by TIME will be explained/ explored in gruesome detail in the blogs to come ..... I just pray its not ... LATE.....AGAIN....

Stay tuned....
